After that, you have damp mop the floor lightly in order to ensure that there is no dust and grease on the floor.

The floor should dry up completely before the process of waxing can begin. The wax has to be spread thinly and evenly over the floor. If there are open streaks on the floor you should know that you have made the application very thick. Cover the total area of the floor and then you have to let the floor dry for an hour or so. These are some of the things that you will have to do when you are waxing the hardwood floor.
